Aftermarket fender quality

I'm looking to buy some aftermarket steel fenders for my 74 CJ5. I would like some feedback from those of
you that have been through the mail order routine. How was the fit, sheetmetal gauge, price, and service?
Who did you order from? Ive looked in the local area (San Diego) and most of the stuff was paper thin.
Thanks and good WHEELING to all.

Re: Aftermarket fender quality

One of the giveaways is where they are made.

The ones that say Phillipines...... bad. They usually don't fit too good unless there has been a bunch of work done to them to get them right.

You definately get what you pay for. There is a reason that the Genuine Jeep ones cost a fortune... they are usually pretty heavy duty and fit right.... most of those are pretty scarce for a '74, though.

Best regards
