Major Body Mistake HELP (long)

I can't believe i did this. I was flush mounting tail lights on my CJ5 and for some strange reason i cut the driver's side first. On the cj the passenger side has the fuel tank. I measured how high the gas cap protector was then cut the driver side because i had rust remover on the passenger taillight screws. I can't believe it i cut the driver side almost an inch tooo far down. now i have a hole that if i put the passenger light on the'll look pretty damn stupid. What should i do. Go ahead and install it or what. Cut the rear corners off like for clearing tires. I'm lost please help.

Re: Major Body Mistake HELP (long)

Move the gas filler all the way around to the right side of the body... then place the Tail light ass. in there? Post a pic if you can. If not just put in some Diamond Plate Corners.

I second the diamond plate corner guard suggestion. Then you can re-cut the holes as needed and cover up the screwed up cut below.

Re: Major Body Mistake HELP (long)

Well, after reading your post...first I want to say....I feel for ya, we ALMOST did a similar thing on my dad's CJ-5 Tub. Secondly...I was going to suggest getting diamond plate full corners, but I THINK somebody mentioned that already Anyway I guess I sixth? the motion
