Door lock problem

Will it ever end?
Now there's something wrong with my driver's side doorlock. It doesn't open nor close with the key - the key turns normally, but no lock happens. I have to lock the door from the inside, and to open it I have to go through the passenger's door.
I'm gonna open the door today & try 2 figure it out. Any ideas of what might be causing the mess? I was kinda hoping for a loose bolt or link somewhere, but as it usually happens....

Re: Door lock problem

There is a rod that connects your lock cylinder with the locking mechanism inside the door. Sometimes the connection comes loose from all the bouncing around. You know, like when you drive up stairs.

It's pretty easy to fix but you do need to take the door apart to get to it. The interior door trim has a few screws around the handle and lock, the rest should be held on with just spring clips.
