CJ Back Together - and Yellow!! - pics

Well, i made record time and completely re-assembled my CJ in just one week. Just in time to take it to Uwharrie this weekend and get all that shiny stuff dirty

Here's a couple of pics:
My new hood hasn't come in yet, but everything else is done

Here she is this time last year, about 3 months after I bought it. Doesn't even look like the same one

What is your definition of reassembled, because that is awesome. What color yellow is that? Nice job!

One week? That is very impressive. It takes me one week to replace a gauge!

Looks great, and I hope your shake-down run goes smoothly.

A week, huh? Impressive..... Gives us guys (like me) looking at just a frame some hope.

And actually, I thought it looked good when you first bought it too.

Looks good, you must have worked you butt off to get it back together in a week. How come the hood is Tan? Hey your right it does look like a differant Jeep.

This is what it looked like this time last week. The pile of parts next to it was bigger than the Jeep:

It's Ford "Chrome Yellow" (Color code BZ) The same color that's on the Ranger Edge and Ranger Splash pickups.

It wasn't bad, but the paint was starting to peel and some rust was developing, so it was time for a re-build. It took about 3 months total to strip it and do all the body work.

I didn't take it apart quite to that point. Everything that comes off except the body itself was off, though.

My new hood is on Backorder. That one is beat up pretty bad (it flew back and hit the windshield frame at soime point before I bought it), so I decided to replace it rather than cover it in filler and risk it cracking.

Very nice job! I have tackled projects of this magnitude and greater, and to those of you who don't know...the pic's don't do justice to the amount of work that goes into it.
