We have a place on beaver island MI and there have been a fair amount of cabin break ins and my parrents are alittle worried about our place getting trashed so they were joking about this idea but acutally went through with it

Re: OT Mom\'s theft deterrent system

Andy I need directions..........I'm almost out of beer.
Thats not that bad of an idea. Thats why I don't try and make my radio's theftproof in my vehicles. Usually they will beat everything to death if they can't get it out. Take it and go, instead of doing 10 times the damage getting it out.
And besides, we know Sarah has a good sense of humor.

Look at who she has to put up with.

Re: OT Mom\'s theft deterrent system

That works great on hunting lease trailers along the TX/Mexico border. The illegals are typically looking for food, water, and a place to crash. We leave the door unlocked and put out canned food, a can opener, and some water. They'll eat some food and usually put the cans in the trash. Heck, they don't even eat or take all the cans and we rarely loose the can opener. Guys who lock everything up always get their doors knocked off or the locks broken. Hope beer works!

Re: OT Mom\'s theft deterrent system

Tune in this weekend when we'll find young Andrew at the cabin drunk off his a$$ whilst trying to circumvent Mum's burglar booty.
(Pssst...If you break out a window (and use your key), she'll never suspect it was you! )

Re: OT Mom\'s theft deterrent system

Only bad side I can see is that the thief is under age, drinks the beer and then drives away killing himself or others. Guess who get's sued.
I'm not serious but in this day in age with lawyers, watch out.
