One guy shouldn\'t be allowed...

Hi all, I just got back from my first meeting as a member of the Midwest Military Vehicle Assn. It is held every other month at a senior members house, and after the meeting we get to tour the members "Garage".

This guy had in his shed...

Gamma Goats (2)

Willys MB

Willys GP

Duck & very rare trailer for cargo to tow behind it.

Super clean CJ-7 and '74 CJ-5, both with hardtops

5 ton tow vehicle with 5th wheel

M37

several engines, axles, and other hard parts from parted out vehicles over the years as well as the inventory from a Jeep dealer that went out of business in the late 60's

The coolest one of all was his '45 CJ-2A Fire Jeep. All the original fire dept markings and paint, working pump, hoses, gaff, and all other related fire aparatus. He has also got the water tank trailer that tows behind it! This Jeep has the rare "3 on the tree" shifter as well as many military parts that were carried over to the very early civilian Jeeps such as the air cleaner and voltage regulator.

ALL of these vehicles are either restored, or older resto/original that run! Except for one gamma and a parts Duck out back.

Re: One guy shouldn\'t be allowed...

When I was working on the railroad, there was a guy had a big Butler building next to the roundhouse. Inside (and outside) were Cadillacs from the '20s to the '60s. He'd bought them all when they were cheap, restored some, used others for parts. Just pick something and start collecting. You'll need to find storage space that doesn't cost a fortune. It'll make your kids rich, you won't be able to part with them.
