AFW Frame FINNALY here

AFW Frame FINALLY got here, %#[email protected]$#% US Freightways. But it's here, we just finished unloading it. Because of the previous delays caused by the trucking company, lost it, mangled it, etc., AFW gave me free paint on it.

Looks good, one thing I noticed is the rear spring shackle mount is in the bottom of the frame.. That's help bring that rear down a little. Another thing is the front and rear spring hangers are the same. Being a CJ, my front springs are narrower. I guess I use washers for spacers but I can go to Wrangler fronts later if I decide to.

Well gotta go to the grocery store so I'll have food and then it's time to get with it.

If you look at your old frame, you will notice that the front and rear hangers are the same too. The difference is made up with the bushings. The front bushing is thicker between the hanger and spring as the rear spring.

If you are talking about the shackle hanger, just swap it out.

All I can say is have fun.

Hope it works out better for you but I found the AFW to be a PITA.
Nothing bolted up without drilling, grinding, tapping or difficulities.
When I called them they were surprised with my complaint but did say they were aware that the tranny crossmember does not always line up.
It is a very stout frame and I like the front crossmember, extra crossmember for CJ8 and the rear integrated crossmember.
Mine was for scrambler so it might be a different situation for you but for what it costs I was less than in pressed with the install.
