TJ - backspacing for 35x12.50 on 15x8 ??
Friend has '00 TJ (4.0L, 5spd). This weekend we are installing Rubicon Express 6" lift. Will be followed by 35X12.50 MT tires on 15x8 rims. The tech at local tireworld recommended 3.75" backspacing.
Is this good recommendation?
Jeep currently has 2" spacer, 1" body w/33x12.50 MT on 15x8 rim w/4.5 backspacing. Axles are stock - D30/D44, Trac-loc, 3.73 gears. Jeep is DD, short trips not much hwy, some trails in Mid-West US. not hardcore. not rockcrawl. competition. Likely he will be bit more brave with more lift and larger tires
Seems like to me the tech made an ok call... but I am not expert. What do you think?
I did search for this topic, but found mostly 33x12.50 on 15x8 or 15x10 discussed... not 35x12.50 on 15x8.
