need drive shaft

I have a 78 CJ-7 with a 304. T-18-1B tranny, C-18-15-24-8 where the numbers on the transfer case. Rear axel is a AMC 20 There is no lift, with 30 inch mud tires. I put in new u-joints and on the test drive I drove about 4 miles and the shaft part from the tranny back ripped off. the u-bolts still in place with 2 caps on. the U joint is gone with the "sliding yoke" I think is the right term. The rear part of the shaft was still connected and u-joint was still in place. I belive I need the Yoke part, but where to find it is an adventure. I have removed the whole drive shaft and have tried to make an acurate measurement, but I dont feel confidint its accurate. Any help on measuring and where to find it????? Thanks

Re: need drive shaft

Before anyone can really help you out too much with your driveshaft needs you need to give us a little more info about your Jeep. What year, model, mods. If you have 4in lift springs and SOA then you are going to need different advise than if your jeep is stock.
Tell us a little more about you and your jeep, and take the time to fill out your profile
