Warped backing plate repairable?

I just found out one of my backing plates is warped on my axle I'm building (AMC 20HD). If you look at the axle from the rear you can see the bottom half of the plate is pushed towards the diff maybe 1/4 - 1/2". I think the top half is fine and the drum and axle are good. Any ideas or anyone got a spare drivers side plate they can part with. Not really wanting to go disks at the time, so I'd like to get it fixed.

Re: Warped backing plate repairable?

Mine had begun to warp the other way five months back, scraping against the drum. In my typical fastidious and exacting mechanical manner, I whacked it back into place with a 5lb hammer. Drove with it scrape-free all summer.
