Stange Noises Coming from my TJ

I need some help. I can't identify the noise that is coming from my Jeep because it is only happening when I am driving. It starts at about 10-15 mph, and the only way I can describe the sound is that it sounds kind of like a squeaky wheel on a push cart or a shopping cart. I know that this could be almost anything on it, but about 11 months ago I sunk it up to the windshield and drowned the engine. It started about a month after that and the it stopped after about 4 months. Now it is back and I am puling my hair out trying to find it again. Any pointers on where to start looking would be most appreciated.

Question - Does it stop when you push in the clutch?

Check your front bearings. I sunk my XJ, adn that squeak pursued. It would also fade in and out depending on the weather, etc.

Dollars to doughnuts its your front propshaft -- especially if its a chirping at roughly 3X wheelspeed. Try soaking the double-cardan joint in a light lubricating oil (spray it liberally), and see if the noise changes and/or disappears. If it does, live with it---they're 500+ bones.....

O.k...... What is a propshaft and a double-cardan joint??? I know a little about cars and engines, but when it comes to suspension, I am lost.
