CJ - York OBA - What year v-belts to get?

I have added a York compressor to my 84 258 for OBA. I collected the stock brackets from junkyards and placed them all on my engine. The time has come for me to get the proper v-belts to fit the system.
258 with AC, no air pump, has power steering.
I forgot to measure how long the belts needed to be before I left this morning. Apparently the 84 258 did not come with a york for AC? So what year belts should I ask for when i go to the auto parts store? In other words, what year 258's did come with a York compressor for AC?

I am not sure about the belt...
But I have a york question that is related. Did you pull the compressor off of an AMC truck or somthing else. Are all Yorks the same, and just use different brackets on different engines?

I have 2 compressors, one cam off a VW Fox, the other off an unknown Ford vehicle (I didn't pull it). The brackets I collected from different AMC's in junkyards. There are differences in the Yorks. They can have different displacements, different heads, and different pulleys.

I wrote up what I know bout the differences here: www.n2jeepn.com/oba.htm

Re: CJ - York OBA - What year v-belts to get?

Here's what I do for belts-measure them width at flat, wide spot say 1/2" and length. In your case use a rope to determine length. Take that info to a Motion Industries store-look them up or another industrial supply store and order the belt. It will be 1/3 of the cost for the same thing. They of course won't give you that patented, infamous stupid stare that the parts counter people do at automotive parts places but hey you save money. I do this for lawn mowers, garage doors, fans etc.

I pulled parts from a 77 Jeep CHerokee once that had a 258 and york setup, it was mounted right above the alternator on teh passenger side

maybe that will give you an application?
im pretty sure some CJs came with teh 258 york ac also though, probably late 70s, early 80s
