CJ- OBA air tank mounting...

I just brought home this great air tank from a truck salvage yard to use for my OBA, but unfortunately its a few inches too long to fit under the tub...grrr.
So, I guess I'll be forced to pay the $$ for a Sun 2.5 gallon tank.
I'm planning to mount it up under the rear seat area (under the tub) above the diff. It looks like a pretty close fit above the diff. How much upward articulation does the diff need? Right now I have a 1" body lift and 1" shackle lift soon to be replaced with a 4" lift. But until I get the 4" lift, will the diff have enough room to articulate without hitting the tank?
Anyone with thier tank mounted their have any input?

Hey Dan, Before shelling out the bucks to Sun try your local air compressor repair shops. Ask them if they have any bad compressors with small air tanks they want to get rid of. You can just toss the compressor and use the tank(s). I just did this today and spent a big $10. Just spent a little time with the grinder to remove the extra 'bits' and I'm ready to go.

Re: CJ- OBA air tank mounting...

Not sure about putting it above the rear end, I bought my ViAir 2.5 gallon tank and misc. hardware from Macromotive. The tank is identical to a friends Sun tank and was only 50.00, I ended up mounting mine along the passenger side frame rail with air lines going front and rear.
