Re: Your Favorite Jeep?

I love my '77 CJ-5. There is just something about it that I can't explain. Maybe its the fact that it needs me to survive or maybe its the short and narrow wheelbase. Whatever it is I love it and may possibly have problems getting a date in the future because I won't be able to afford more than a salad for my date!

Re: Your Favorite Jeep?

Im very fond of my 88 xj, its comfy with the nice cold air or even trail riding with the doors off ( custom easy off hinges) but it just have the open air feeling that my 76 cj5 has, so ill have to vote for the cj!

Re: Your Favorite Jeep?

Mine was my '55 CJ5, I had a lot of memories in that old thing, learned to drive, learned to 'wheel, and learned to wrench with that old rig, took it to the prom, and drove it home from graduation. I even had my first "stranding" in it - I got to walk 15 miles to the nearest phone to summon help after the old F-head gave up It's currently residing in a buddy's yard, waiting until I get adequate garage space to tear it down to the frame and put it back to the state it left Toledo in

Re: Your Favorite Jeep?

MY Favorite Jeep is MY Jeep. 91 YJ. But if money were no object I would get a CJ-8, M715, A waggie (hope to get one of those real soon) And a CJ-7. But really it is hard to pick one Fav. They are all great.

Re: Your Favorite Jeep?

I loved the '74 CJ5 that I had. While it was not the first Jeep that I owned it was the first Jeep that I had money to spend on it.

I belive that the 71 - 75 CJs are some of the best rigs to work on. Very simple and easy to build.
