Need a Dana 300 shift lever

Someone got one of these around and want to help a brother out I would appreciate it (cheap though cause I am officially broke). I plan on doing a twin stick but I have too many irons in the fire right now and climbing under the jeep to shift can be a drag......

Re: Need a Dana 300 shift lever

Let me poke around and see if I still have mine. I did the twin stick about 2 months ago, and I think the old stuff is still in my junk box.
I will let you know tomorrow.

What exactly is it that a twin stick will do ?
Could you explain it to me ?
Maybe the pro and cons please?

Re: Need a Dana 300 shift lever

If you have a locker in the front of your Jeep, then you know that it turns like the titanic when your in 4 low and the hugs locked. The twin stick allows you to select to engage or disengage the fron axle independantly from the low and high range.
For example, I run in 2wd low (front axle disengaged) until I get to a spot where I need the 4wd, then I move the one lever to engage the front axle and Im in 4wd low. For me, it makes the Jeep easier to drive and manuver. If you want pics or anything, let me know and I cna go out and take a few.

Re: Need a Dana 300 shift lever

A twin-stick conversion on your xfer case allows you to shift each axle independently. This is good for several reasone.

1. It allows you to unlock the front axle in 4wd when turning so that you do not bind your axle if you are using a locking device.

2. It allows you to have front wheel drive only (good for snowy roads)

3. It allows for 2wd lo

The typical combination (without inside-the-case mods) are seen here:

Re: Need a Dana 300 shift lever

I have a d300 shifter that I removed when I did my twin stick. I can send it to you for $15 plus shipping.

If you are interested, send me a PM and we can work out the details.
