Re: Engine color will it clash?
Here is one thing to remember... That paint likes to trap in heat. If your motor usually runs warm, do not paint it. If it stays rather cool, then it's fine, and it also looks awesome too! Right now my Jeep runs warm, so until I take care of that I wouldn't dream of painting my block. I once painted the block in my race truck, which likes to run really warm, and that was a huge mistake. Back then I was racing pro arena trucks, so the runs are much shorter (20-30 second runs), and after every pass it was overheating like nothing else. I stripped off the paint eventually (if it can be avoided, DO NOT DO THAT! ) and it then ran fine. Stayed nice and cool at about 220 degrees and never overheated. Though it was still trapping in some of the heat from where the paint was I suppose. I put in a new motor from JASPER and that only ran at about 180-200 degrees. So moral of the story is: if it runs warm, don't paint the block unless you make some changes so that it runs cooler. Just my two cents based on my past experience.
