OT, Suburban hits 200,000

Yup.. About a week ago my parents '93 suburban ticked its way past 200,000 kms..
and all that with ONE.. yup.. ONE.. oil change.. and that was the free one at 15,000 kms..

They top it up.. occasionally.. about every 25,000 kms.. but otherwise my parents are kinda forgetfull and lasy with the maintenance..
.
on another note.. my dad flew his garage built plane for the first time last week.. looked great.. and it means there is no longer a fuselage sitting in my garage thwarting my Jeep maintenance experements..

I cant imagine anyone who would be sharp enough to finsih a homebuilt aircraft, and not knowing to change the oil!

I wouldnt fly in that plane after the first 20 hours!

Good point Ozark, but I wouldn't get in that plane at all.

Re: OT, Suburban hits 200,000

Hell, my 84 chevy with a 6.2 diesel just turned 236,000 miles yesterday and still starts, runs, and drives great. But I do keep fresh oil in it since it burns about a quart for every two tanks of gas

Re: OT, Suburban hits 200,000

Ya, but It's diesel.. and the only thing that's been changed is the starter once, and the air filter 2 or 3 times.

My parents don't belive in car maintenance..
Fortunately I've got it figured out, but my sisters first Jeep.. 4 years ago.. died on the way to mexico.. when it was towed back they found the engine had NO oil in it.. just completely dry.
