Where to mount a CB in a TJ?

Ok I have a dilema where is a good spot to mount a fullsize CB in a TJ? If you think you have the perfect spot. Let me know, and if possible send a pick. Thanks

Re: Where to mount a CB in a TJ?

I found a piece of chanel Aluminum and mounted it over head in the center from my roll bar to the windshield frame. I mounted my Cb first, and plan to mount a gps next, and there is still room for a fire ext. I still have to take it out and polish it, then it will not only be functional, but pretty to.

I mounted mine on the dash. I mounted the bracket in the dish part above the radio. I have 2 different radios stack mounted. A cobra 29 and a midland uhf/vhf for my fire dept. on top. It doesn't seem top interfere with the view of the trail. good luck

You could spend a few extra bucks and get the Turbo City CB mount, it goes where the footman loop is on the windshield, I had one for a couple of years until I got my cage. http://www.turbocity.com/JeepGliderNewProducts.htm, scroll down some, you'll see it.

I think either Tuffy or Steel Horse makes an over-head consol stretching from the roll bar to the windshield frame that has two compartments to hold a CB or any other stereo size thing you can put in it. Its lockable too.
