It has RISEN!!!

After a LONG wait, the CJ was fired up today! I got a friend/ distantly related redneck over. He works in a shop, knows his [censored], helped me(or I helped him) drop the tranny. Got a new clutch, flywheel and starter in there. Took a bit of throttel pumping, but she FIRED up. Took her down to the gass tation to fill up the tank and tires. All i can say it's about dang time. Its been waiting for parts(back ordered flywheel) and time(school started again), but it sure felt GOOD driving down those roads.
there's still some work needed. discovered I need some replacemtns parts on the clutch linkage and somehow we misplaced a part for my shifter, so its kinda sloppy. But it RUNS!!!!!!

Re: It has RISEN!!!

It's always nice to finish a project and drive your jeep again. I love that feeling of actually completing something.

Re: It has RISEN!!!

Well, the starting of the Jeep actually culminates several projects. It had origonally gone down to put in the new painless harness. When we went to start it a few weeks later, it wouldnt. it took a while to narrow it down to JUST the dead starter and not any of my wiring(all of which is just fine, thank you!) It was REALLY good to hear her turn over. now i just gotta get the little things in line!
