Re: OT Anyone Else Getting Infected emails from azjeep

Haven't got any from him yet but I get them from many other places.
Usually 2-3 emails a week will have some sort of questionable email attachment or a plain old virus. Most of the time its not the senders fault. The virus has attached its self to his or her contacts list and is sending its self to everyone on it.

I run "Mcafee Firewall" in filter mode when I am using my email program. It stops hackers from port scanning your machine. If they find an open port on your machine, they can steal your personal information and passwords and send email and viruses from your machine. While sending email, I can get as many as 3 or 4 port scan attacks. Mcafee blocks them and keep the hackers at bay. Usually the hackers are nothing more than a program on a computer somewhere that does nothing but scan the Internet for static IP addresses. When it finds one, it tries to scan for open ports to get inside your computer.

If you continue to get strange emails, try changing your password and or user name, this is what I did and it worked for a while.
Also, depending on your email program, you can block the sender and have the emails sent to your deleted file.
