1985 Wagoneer question

I'm trying to find out what is the width of the axles?
What axles came in this year? What tranny and tranfer case came with is also... Do you guys know if this year would have disc brakes or drums? I'm going to try and use a wagoneer for a donor vehicle for my 57 willys wagon..Thanks Pete

Re: 1985 Wagoneer question

Dana 44 front with disks
AMC 20 HD rear with drums
6x5-1/2" wheel pattern

Should have the AMC 360/TF727 and NP208?

Maybe, one thing I forgot is an 85 will have a driver's side front differential so you'd have to change the transfer case too. It should be a good width for the wider willy's wagon.

Re: 1985 Wagoneer question

My '85 has the 360/727/np229 combo. The 229 is a full time case and not of much use to anyone apparently. I think the np208 was available on the models with command-trac. I'll measure the axle width for you if you'd like, do you want drum to drum or what?
