Re: transfer case cable shifter? anyone have one?

I'm sorry I can't help out with you question, but I'm definatly interested in the answer. What is your 208 bolted up to? I'm trying to find one to go behind a 727 and it seems like jeep 208's are pretty scarce and if I could use a chevy 208 that may be easier to find.
Thanks,
Jason

Sheesley, I am sorry for going a little off the subject. I don't know the answer to your question, but would you mind giving me your impression of your 350/465 set up. that the same set up that I am thinking of putting in my YJ. Do you miss overdrive, what R&P do you run. Overall do you like the trans? Thanks, and sorry for going off subject

I could be wrong, but I dont' think they make a cable shifter for transfer cases (not the older one's anyway).

Re: transfer case cable shifter? anyone have one?

Olin,
I ran a 350/sm465/300 in my cj7 and it was great. When the 350 was running right it was fine on the street because I could pretty much leave it in 3rd. It was sort of like an automatic. The wide ratio isn't the best though for street driving. The gear splits were too great. The np435 I run in my scrambler is much more street friendly due to the closer gear ratios. I ran 35's with 4.10's and highway driving was fine. Offroad the tranny is awesome, I loved the deep first gear and knowing that the whole jeep would disengrate before that tranny even started sweating.
