Need 3.54 for a \'79 Dana 30

A buddy of mine blew out his front ring and pinion. Just thought I'd post and see if anyone has a spare 3.54 R&P for an older D30.

thanks
Brent

Nope not that POS, another POS, it belongs to this guy Dave...Dave Lambe..JK

Actually it's a buddy Brian. '79 CJ7. Looking to replace what he has or if anyone has a pair of matching gears D30, AMC20 that he could re-gear in the proccess.

If he isn't, my brother may be. Let us know what ratio your holding. His 2.73s ain't cutting it with 33"s.... Re: Need 3.54 for a \'79 Dana 30

I have a few sets of 3.54's laying around, in the AMC 20 and the D30. I also have a 3.73 AMC 20 gearset (whole narrow track axle actually), and could be pursuaded to part with them. I'd prefer to let the whole AMC 20's go rather than just part them out, but where you guys live so far away it's understandable, I'm just not looking forward to trying to remove those rounded off Torx bolts.

Sorry, they are 3.31's, I guess they sat in the garage so long that I forgot what they were. Sorry.

I got one still in the axle. I'll sell either the R&P or the whole axle cheap. Email me if your interested.

Mark,
My brother may be interested in the 3.73 R&P for the M20 (I can get one for his front D30). I'll contact him to see if he's interested. Do you know offhand if he'll be OK using the existing 20 carrier (currently 2.73)?

I think the 2.73 carrier is specific to that gear only.
