RE_WIRED! 258ci Painless

Im currently installing the painless wiring kit, My question was Can preform ok w/o a computer or ingnition module?? Ive got a 258 with holley carb elec dist, with accel super coil, should I do a HEI swap or what, whats the thing to do here for minumum dollars with good performance??? thanks

Welcome.
Your profile is a little vague.
Search for "nutter bypass" for eliminating the computer.
Go to <a target="_blank" href=http://www.shortwheelbase.com>http://www.shortwheelbase.com</a> to the technical section then to the ignition section. Look for TeamRush ignition upgrade instead of HEI.

As WILL says: Nutter Bypass and TR Upgrade.
I recently did this to my 83 cj7 with great results.
I got rid of the computer and what seems like half of the wiring under the hood. Pulse air too. You'll might still need the ignition module depending on how far you go with the TRupgrade. This is also a good time to fix that factory duck tape job if your one of the 'lucky ones'. I used this link along with my Haynes manual to do everthing:
