Where is the best place to buy a steel windshield frame for my 83CJ7? I would like to get a good one,and not some thin pice of junk. Any one know a good place to buy?

Re: Windshield frame

You may consider looking for one that has the reinforcement "ribs" in between the holes for the windshield wipers. This is the failure point for most windshield frames and CJ wiper systems. The area wears out and binds your wiper mechanism inside your windshield frame.
Just something else to consider.

E-mail [email protected] or go to www.willysoverland.com

Real good stuff, same 16 and 18 gauge as factory. I think they're made on the surplus factory dies.

Re: Windshield frame

I bought the Willys Overland frame and I can say it's top notch craftsman ship. It has the reinforced wiper openings, unlike many of the aftermarket frames. Their prices are competitive with other companies, and their customer service is excellent. While you're there, buy a new gasket for the w/s glass and also a new cowl seal, so you don't rot out the new frame because of bad seals.
