Finally, cage is in!!!!!!!!!!

After almost a week of rain and some rust repair, on the floor, under the stock cage hoop. I finally have the cage bolted back in. Man did it come out nice. So far i havent found anything i would have changed or liked to added. But i really researched what i wanted. Anyway here are the pics.

Here you can see how close everything fits. The dash pad has about 1/16th of clearance. The auto shifter has about an 1/8. If you look at the ebrake i can still use it. There is enough room at the foot pedal for a heavy pair of work boots and just about an extra 1/8 of cleareance for the pull handle. My tilt wheel still works throughout its motion.

The only thing i really lost is the glove box. I can still open it enough to get my hand in but i dont leave anything in it anyway. I still have to make the frame tieins. But i have to fix my elsuvise brake leak at my left front wheel. It only wants to leak when driving and never when i am in the shop with someone pushing the pedal.

Jim, looks awesome.
Just a thought, but if you get a REAL tranny you wouldn't knock your knuckles on the cage while shifting..

Re: Finally, cage is in!!!!!!!!!!

Looks great Jim. I did the tie ins on mine today. How are you going to make yours? I built the basic plate on either side and the 4 bolts holding them together design. I like how your hoops come from the back. I would have done mine that way cept I already had the front hoop from my old cage laying here (and I am a lazy bastage).

Re: Finally, cage is in!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks everyone for the responses.

Steve i have the 4bolt plates already there on the front, just have to decide how it is going to go from there. I still have to figure out a way to tie in the stock hoop. It may be a little bit of a pain, because of the way the floor supports are made.

I still need to find padding.

That is a REALLY nice cage. Well done. And I really like the color combo that you went with.
