Were back...

Well, were back from Monteagle. All of you who didn't go.....thanks..The average group on a ride was about 8 jeeps. We on the otherhand had 5.. InfantryYJ, Riksnacjnow, redjeep, the trail leader, and me..
We did cat 5 trails on Sat. then relaxed some with a 4.5 on Sun.
Here is Rich doing Double Pull Hill.

<img src=http://tellico.off-road.com/wwwthreads_uploads/877717-rich%20DP%20hill.jpg>
The passenger in Rich's jeep was the trail giudes g/f. He didn't attempt the hill, but she wanted the rush...
We saw Chad (csvaugh ??)who recently returned from military duty.
Anyway I'm beat and hopefully someone will post a pic of my junk doing something cool..

Re: Were back...

Sorry no pics.....but I got some good amature video....very amature.......feet, leaves, trees and even some upside down spectators, sort of a "Blair witch goes jeeping" thing. sort of icing on the cake for those who know me! will need some editing.............

Re: Were back...

I'll bet it was all Glen's usefullness that was doing the video action??????
I did get (somehow) a video of you on DP hill, and on Brenda's hill. I also remember a little extra effort on your part, needed to make it to the bad section of Brenda's.

Re: Were back...

Maybe if you had one of those other trannies you would have made it farther up the hill and someone would have a pic of it. HEHEHE

Re: Were back...

Richard sounds like the way Lara video tapes. You get to see what shoes everyone is wearing though.

We had a great time. Timothy had a blast and all he talked about was how can we make the Jeep Meaner. Here is a picture of my trail hand.

Enjoyed the company and meeting Rich and Dave.
We'll see you next time.

Re: Were back...

good to see rich found the skinny pedal...... was he sniveling about his dana 30 again??
you wouldnt believe it, but we had 2 near roll overs this weekend in the "Uwharrie waterfall ride"... it rained for 6 solid days. on the 6th night, we went on a good night run with only the locked rigs with winches. I had to grab a couple extra gears and give it a bit too...
caver dave put a 6" gash in one of the tires i sold him 2 weeks ago, then became WINCH BOY....
the cj behind him with lockers and a lot of pedal......had sparks emitting from his winch when he got to the top...
I made it with no cable, but i got the front end a little too far into the air and it turned sideways....landed on the slope sideways... I spun the tires and it slid a ways but didnt go over..jeepgod drove my wifes tj up with my daughter sleeping in the back.....kind of embarassing...mobdawg punded clifford up with no winch too.... good thing... he doesnt have one..
anyway... the trails were harder than anything I saw in monteagle that night....of course... there were no pics.. it was pouring rain and pitch dark...

Winch Boy? Just remember I had open diffs and still went. It was raining so hard, I thought Joe was gonna drown climbing that bank to hook my cable . I knew it was going to be rough after watching your taillights bounce around and Pat start grinning on his way back to us. It was a blast, even with the damage. John Barclay says "Hey". Did everyone make it back OK?

Re: Were back...

well today... monday.. we all did kodak rock.. except mob and joe... the rhino (m715) was trying to get it coming up.. ended up backing down one time.. and lost his brakes.. taking out another tree.. was ok.. paul got it sideways.. then after a few minutes of pulling the seat springs out his butt he made it up...
then... as the story always goes..
we are half way home.. paul left later with the rhino.. we get a phone call.. and he siezed his engine right be eldorado outpost... so we have to head back tomorrow with the trailer and pick him up...
