Exhaust manifold stud size

I've got an exhaust manifold from an 84 CJ7 258 that i need replacement studs for the connection to the exhaust pipe. The studs were broken off and now I've drilled them out. I need to know what size replacement studs to use (3/8? 5/16?), also that will help me with the tap to clean up the threads after drilling.

Re: Exhaust manifold stud size

They're 5/16". The part that takes the nut is 24 pitch. I would think that the end in the manifold is 18 pitch, because they usually don't put fine thread in cast iron. Unfortunately I can't be sure because mine are broken off, too. All I have is the part with the nut rusted on.
