4.0 head

I am boring my 4.2 .040 over, but first I need to select pistons. I have a 4.0 head to swap(not milled). Will a 4.0 head change your compression any on a 4.2?

Re: 4.0 head

Shouldn't change it by much ...
I decked my block, used a new 4.0 head, and have no ping.
Take a look at Badger brand pistons, available through NAPA.
Great quality at a very good price ... less than $20 per slug.
Even TR said they were the best bang for the buck around.

Re: 4.0 head

I bored 258 block .30 over. Put 4.0 head that I milled .60 off. Was running Webber carb, now switching to MPI. I didn't have any pinging problems.
