HEADER clearance problem CJ7 258 with automatic?!

See attached picture:

I need to know what others who have a 258, automatic transmission (TF999) use for a header. I have a clifford single outlet header, but as you can see from the attached pic, I am too close to brake valve, fuel return line, and transmission.
What kind of headers are you guys running? How much clearance do you have? Maybe post a pic of your solution?
Thanks for the help.

Anyone running 258 headers with an auto? I'd like to see what kind of solution you have. Thanks.

I'm running a borla header with the 258 / 999 combo... It's been on the jeep for over 2 years now... I think there was a little tweaking we had to do to make it fit, I'll have to ask my other 1/2 if he remembers what the deal-e-o was....

Re: HEADER clearance problem CJ7 258 with automati

I had the clifford header on a 1985 CJ7 258 with 999 auto. I had to remove the shift bar that is the real culprit in the way and to have it cut and welded over to one side. After that, I had no problems

Why not move the proportioning value to a higher location?
