FS: 1986 CJ-7 Turnkey rig (Atlanta)

A buddy of mine is selling his rig. The price is $5000 FIRM, but it's worth every penny, lemmie tell you. This rig is what I started out to build when I started mine. It's in great mechanical condition, I would be willing to vouch for it, if you have any questions.

Specs:
1986 CJ-7 72K original miles
258 engine running carter carb, recently passed emissions.
T-5 5 Speed tranny/Dana 300 Xfer with curry twin-sticks
AMC 20/Dana 30 Axles with Moser 1 piece axles with 2.73 gears
33" Goodyear Wrangler MT/R's lots of tread (on black crawler rims)
MORE front bumper
MORE Shackle reversal
Revolver shackles front/rear
Old Man Emu 2" lift/1" body lift 2.5" YJ springs all the way around
Rancho RS9000 shocks
MORE extended front shock hoop
MORE HD steering bracket
AGR Superbox II steering box
AGR Super pump
MORE HD steering bracket
MORE Steering brace
Warn HS9500i (used once in Hardee's parking lot)
New clutch
new brakes
new front bearings
Electric cooling fan
Kennesaw mountain bumper/tire carrier
Tuffy Security console

Also in the deal he is including a set of 4.56 gears, master install kits, and full case Detroit lockers, NEW IN BOX, never installed (worth $1200 alone).

Cosmetically there are the standard dings and dents you see on a trail-rig, but it's a good rig. It comes with a bikini top, windjammer, and soft doors.

Buyer is responsible for pick-up and transportation costs.

No, it will not be parted out.

Serious inquiries only email him at: [email protected]

It's not really that great... One of our local wheeling spots (Rich Mountain) is just outside Blairesville, Ga. The closest rally-point to there is a Hardee's parking lot. When we pulled in there were many folks pointing at the shiney winch... We hadn't had time to respool it under tension. While we were waiting for the ride to commence we dragged a Jeep across the parking lot to respool under tension. Some of the looks from people in the drivethrough were pretty funny though.

Sounds like a good deal to me. The prices of CJs are getting crazy. Hope you find a happy home for it.

I wish I could afford it. What color is it exactly? Looks a bit muddy in the pic. LOL

It's that burnt brown color (I hesitate to use "rust" cause there realy isn't any) that came from the factory...

Would he be interested in trading for an 89 Wrangler? If he is, let me know and I'll tell you more about it. Thanks, Andy
