Floor holes plugs !!! ???

I have been looking for something to plug these darned holes for ages and never found anything that either does the job properly and perfectly or is removable without breaking so i can flush out the tub from time to time with the hose...

What do you do and where the hell did you get em ?

The holes in the front drivers wells are the larger ones and the ones in the rear of the centre console are the smaller size. I need to plug em all !

Cheers
Guy

Re: Floor holes plugs !!! ???

My '82 CJ7 had 1" holes and I went to Lowe's or Home Depot and got the plastic plugs used to seal weatherboarding after blowing in insulation on a house. A perfect fit, easy in and usually easy out. If I broke one taking it out, it was no problem because a bag of them cost about $2.00.

I use the OEM plugs. Bought them from the Jeep dealer (yes they were expensive) but they work just fine. I have a CJ as well and my floor holes are all the same size, so I'm not sure what happened with yours. I think Rosser has floor plugs also.

The last time I posted this was in February, so it's been a while:

If they are 1" diameter drain holes, I found plugs that work perfect at Lowe's. They are 1 inch nylon plugs. (lowe's part number on the package is 793800.) They are 2 for $1.

Re: Floor holes plugs !!! ???

Worst comes to worst, plug the holes and drill new ones to fit a rubber plug you can find locally (I note that you are in the UK where it is probably hard to find stuff in inch diameters and easy to find metric stuff.....). Problem solved! That or Rosser or Quadratec can get you the factory item. Hmmmmm.....I probably ought to think about this myself now that I've fixed all the rust holes in my floorboards....*grin*

Will, what is their real purpose? So I know what department they are in. Insulation, plumbing or what?

They're in the drawers with the nuts, bolts, washers, etc. in the fastener isle.
