78 waggy question?

Are all 70's wagoneers the same as far as axles and drivetrain go? The later 78 wagoneer isnt going to be wider than an earlier 70's wagoneer is it? And was there any major changes that made later 70's models worse or better? Thanks.

Re: 78 waggy question?

Some had dana 20 transfer cases with a centered rear dana 44. Most had the quadratrac transfer case and an offset rear dana 44. The early 70's had a centered rear dana 44, 30 spline and 5 on 5-1/2 and 11" brakes.
