Re: solid jeep motor mounts

By solid, are you referring to steel mounts with no isolator or are you talking about polyurethane mounts?

I installed the Energy Suspension poly mounts in my CJ to replace the stock, worn out rubber mounts that originally supported the 258. It made all the difference in the world!

I wouldn't recommend a mount without an isolator, the motor's torque is too much for the tranny mounts and bolts to take.

Re: solid jeep motor mounts

I think mine were around $30 each (could be $30 for the pair, I forget). You should be able to order them at a lot of parts stores, if you have a 4WD shop nearby I'd go there. Become friends with the owner, it's a handy contact. You can also get them online, Leon Rosser at http://www.thinkoffroad.com/thinkshop2/asp/product.asp?product=754&cat=469&ph=cat&amp ;keywords=&recor=&SearchFor=&PT_ID=.
