spicer model 20 transfercase prob

Ok does anyone know the shift pattern for this thing ? Cause all i get are three postions -- I move the shifter all the way up , middle , and all way down . Is there supposed to be a neutral or just 4w high , 4w low , and 2w ?

Re: spicer model 20 transfercase prob

Should be all the way forward is 4H, one spot back 2H, neutral, then all the way back 4L. 4 positions. This is the shift pattern for a CJ. Mine feels kind of indistinct for each position, you really have to feel for them.

Re: spicer model 20 transfercase prob

as badvibs said ,there should be 4 positions....after a little wear some 20's can select 2low aswell...mine is 4H-2H-N-2L-4L...i'd check your linkages first and make sure nothing is binding.......
