moser one piece axle install? Help!

What holds the shaft from sliding out of the tube? Is the press fit on the bearing the only thing that holds it in?
Anybody got any tips or tricks to make the install easier?

Re: moser one piece axle install? Help!

I believe the moser is lke my axles and I wondered the same thing. What i found/figured out was that the bearing being pressed onthe axle and then the backing plate and outer seal bolt over the bearing to the axle flange. doesn't seem like much, but think about this, you would have to have a a force exerted straight out the axle tube to pull it. Or so was figured when I was asking the same question. If someone knows better, I'd like to hear it to . That's what my post came up with.

Re: moser one piece axle install? Help!

I have a web site that has information pertaining to the Moser axle install.
The bearing is press fit and a locking ring is pressed on with a .006 press fit.
The locking ring keeps the bearing on the shaft and the backing plate keep the assembly in the housing.
Here's a link to my site.
