Motor swap in late model question

This is completely per say, but what if you were to put a Chevy, or hehe Viper motor or something like that into a late model Jeep/vehicle? What do you do about the emissions? Doesnt the vehicle have to pass the numbers according to the VIN number, and not the motor?

I was thinking about this the other day, here in Houston they are really cracking down on emissions testing. LOL! I can't believe they act like the refineries down here arent the problem.

Anyhow, just a new topic to toss about!
