Looking for wheelers in CT...

I have finally gotten my Jeep to the point where it is ready to hit the trail and I am looking for a jeep club or similar to go out with. Anyone from CT have any good spots or clubs to tell about?

Re: Looking for wheelers in CT...

I'm orig. from CT. Still have wheelin friends/family there. Most trails I know about are on private land or are closed. Rumor is the state is hurting for funding, and considering opening up previously closed trails to motocrossers to raise funding again (charging a fee per use). good luck!!!!

Re: Looking for wheelers in CT...

I'm in Cheshire. I'm in the process of ordering a fiberglass body for our new project...an 84 CJ7. I've been looking for spots to 'wheel for years here...without luck. That's why I make the drive to Paragon. I know a lot of guys go up to Ma Bell and some other spots in MA, too.

There are several "unofficial" spots to wheel, but along with them they bring a good liklihood of a ticket.

I'm always up for a trip if you guys know of a good place.
