Trail Ride in Cal, Northern Cal, but will drive probably anywhere in state

We had planned on going to Moab that weekend, but decided against it. We were hoping there might be a run gonig that weekend to subsidize for Moab.

Re: Trail Ride in Northern Ca - read this!

On October 23rd, there is gonna be a huge clean-up effort for spider lake and the area surrounding the 'con. I'm trying to get as many folks as I can to participate. There will be prizes raffled off *FREE* and all you have to do to be eligible is help out. The clean-up is being hosted by The Pirates of the Rubicon 4wd club. The supplies for the clean-up will be provided, but if you have trash bags, etc. to bring, by all means, do. I'm in the process of getting more info, but I'll tell you what I know for now... The meeting place will be Loon Lake on Saturday morning (unsure of time for now, but I'll update you as soon as I know). From what I've been told so far, it's gonna be a two day event, lasting until Sunday sometime. Of course it won't be all work, there will be wheelin' a plenty too, as they plan to clean up the little sluice and other areas. We all love to go wheelin', and most of us aren't fortunate enough to have LEGAL access to private land, so we need to show our support and help guarantee that places like the Rubicon will be available and open to the public for years to come. It's time to walk the walk and get active, besides, where else can you make a difference and have fun at the same time! If you can make it, let me know, and I'll try to meet you somewhere on the way! This clean-up is open to EVERYONE, you don't even have to be a 4wheeler! Hope to see ya there!
