Unless you have changed types, ie. CJ springs on a YJ, etc ...
Just order your year type from Currie.
Call them if you are not sure ...

Will CJ springs not bolt up to YJ shackles? Well, I know the fronts are too narrow, but I'm talking about rears, as I want to put JCW rear CJ springs under my YJ.

Re: Greasable Shackles with Skyjacker lift...

I called "quadratec' today and they said the skyjacker lift requires the uses of stock shackles. Now i know i am not going to be using my stock weak bent things when i install this. Any other ideas?

This is a YJ kit going on a YJ...

Re: Greasable Shackles with Skyjacker lift...

My Rubicon express kit came with greaseable bushings. I don't think that the bushings are anything special, the ID might be bigger. the bolts are hollow with a zerk on one end and one outlet hole cross drilled in it where the bushing will spin on it. remember that the spring has two eyelets. Adding greaseable shackles only takes care of one end.

I was told by at a shop that some of the lift company's springs have larger eyelets and use a larger bushing to get more flex.

my advice. call sky jacker. ask them to provide you with the dimensions of the bushings that they include with their kits.

you'll want to know ID,OD, and length.

then call currie and/or Rubicon express to ask about their greaseable bushing packages.
Provide them with the ID,OD, and length that you need.

It's worth a try.

That was my plan, but there tech line is open only on weekdays -lazy-. I will see what they have to say. If all else fails there is a good machine shop 10 min. down the road.
