Nerf Bars/Rocker Skids

I am looking for some ideas, for rocker skids/nerf bars. I was just curious what everyone had on their Jeeps. Currently I am running with SmittyBelts, and they are great, but I need something to cover more of the body. Please share some thoughts on what you have or want to protect those rocker panels, and help ya get in that Jeeps.
Thanks

I will be building some side bars next week, out of some 3x3" SQ. tube. As for rocker guards I was going to put some thin angle iron on the sides like a 1x4"(next winter).

No one else runs nerf bars or rocker skids? Wow, it's a must in Colorado to prevent major body damage! Looks like I am on my own for this one....Thanks for the thoughts MUDITUP4x4.

I run 3"x4"x.25" angle on mine, the 4" part is up the side. Since I have a glass tub, it is thru bolted to a piece of 4"x36"x.25" plate inside the tub. I have landed the Jeeps full weight on them, used them for hi-lift points and pivoted around trees/rocks w/o problems. They protect the Jeep, but don't do anything for helping getting in. I wanted to keep them simple, and less stuff hanging out to snag on stuff.
Here is what they look like, and the inside brace can be seen on the passenger side under the cage side bar.

these are the skids I built, I wanted to use 2"x4" tube, but it cost too much. I used 2 pieces of 2x2 Tube and I thin they are stronger. Don't mind the paint job, I was in a hurry

annother this shows how they fit the jeep do not extend beond fender flares, and they are a jacking point. I have used them to skid over logs, and bump around logs, and they only cost me 40 bucks in materials.

Nerf bars take up a lot of ground clearance. I've been using 1/4' 4x4 angle iron for quite a while, works great, bombproof.

Did you bolt it to the bottom of the tub as well?

No, but they are close enough to my cage feet to tie them into that and the frame tie-ins, which I may eventually do.
