help me track down a drain in my electical...

I keep draining my battery. I thought at first it was just because i am finishing a year long frame off resto and i had the key in the run position getting everything to work all right. But i put in a new battery and left it for two days with the key off and it drained dead.

So i need help tracking down the leak. I am going to by a multi tester tomorrow. But can someone tell me how i use it tonight? Thanks- Tim

Re: help me track down a drain in my electical...

attatch teh VOM to your battery posts so you dont need your hands ( use alligator clips or jumper cabels just dont short the other ends) then pull fuses one by one while watching the volt reading, and when you pull one and the voltage increase thats the circuit that has the current drain.

once youve foudn the circuit then isolate each component in it, there shouldnt be too much to look thru on a Jeep
