Replacement Body Mounts

Where can I buy body mounts for a 48 CJ-2A? Or what can I make them out of? I don't want a body lift at all. Plans are for maybe a 1/2 inch spacer at most. I've heard of things like hockey pucks to old tires. I can purchase new 1/2" thick sheets of non-reinforced rubber from a local hardware store for cheap. Would this work?

Re: Replacement Body Mounts

If the hardware store rubber is similar in hardness to stock mounts, which is similar to a tire, that should work fine.

Also check JC Whitney; they have urethane mounts for lots of Jeeps.

I would think that hockey pucks would be a might too hard to work well. Then need a certain amount of give to keep the body from developing fatigue cracks.

I have looked for something like that 1/2" rubber several times. Post source information for it if you can.
