Maybe buying XJ got a question for all...

i have the chance to buy a 99 XJ loaded, with 34K for $4800, the only problem is , is that it hit a deer, it needs 2 front fenders,a front clip, hood and windshield and radiator. everything else is fine, think its a good deal, its got a salvage title on it, which is the only thing that scares me, let me know guys, i don't know who else to ask!

Chances are it's got a Salvage title on it because the insurance company "totaled it"..meaning there was significant damage to the vehicle.
Obviously, after hitting a deer it's easy to see why.

IMO, it could be a good deal. Find out how much it would cost to have all the parts replaced, including painting for the fenders and front clip (if painting needs to be done), then add that to the $4800. Anything less than $9,000 total and I'd say you would be getting a good deal.

Also having a salvage title means that you cannot finance the vehicle or use it as collateral against a loan.
