Holley Truck Avenger Carb.

As I have not heard much reviews I was just wondering how the truck Avenger did off-road compared to a carter bbd, and compared to fuel injection. Should I try and do fuel injection or should I spend the 400 on a avenger?

Please fill out your profile. We have no idea where you live (for terrain) or what you drive (4 cylinder, I-6, V-6, V-8).

Re: Holley Truck Avenger Carb.

I have been running the Truck Avenger for a mounth and it has worked great. I was running a stock mc on a 289 ford. I think there is a write up on it in the new 4 wheel and off road.

Re: Holley Truck Avenger Carb.

I happenb to have that article right here on my desk. It's in the new Petersons 4 wheel & off-Road july 2002

Says it did great on climbing 45-50 degree anlges, side angles or 35-40, decents of 30-35, after 35 i starts to load up. Rock crawling it did good, the whoops it did'nt burp on, Sand power test, was a little lower power in higher RPMs in comparison to the Street Avenger. "Bottom Line: We think Holley got irt right. the truck avenger seems to work every bit as well as a Q-jet in most circumstances and even betterin some." and then a comment about a heads up shooting between Q-jet and Truck Avenger.

But nothing is going to touch Fuel injection.
