304 heater hose routing

I am almost done with putting in a 304 into my 1985 CJ-7, and I need to know if the heater hose that goes from the waterpump goes to the top or the bottom inlet of the heater core in the firewall. Thanx for your help.

The little moon guy says to put the hose from the intake on the top heater inlet, and the hose from the bottom heater inlet to the water pump. Little moon guy also wants to remind you to drill a small hole in the thermostat.
