1997 TJ Door Windows

The window glass in the full size doors on my 1997 Jeep TJ are hard to crank up/down. It appears that the felt channel is too tight around the glass. I have tried silicone spray but it did not fix the problem. Has anyone found a good lubricant or a fix to make cranking easier?

Re: 1997 TJ Door Windows

Check the cranking mechanism inside the bottom back corner of the door. Had the same problem. Don't remember whether it was something loose or in need of lube, but when you see it while turning the window crank, it will be obvious where the problem is.
