Gotta get me one of these!!!

You guys have gotta check this out! I've seen a few pics of the Dakar concept before, but these are cool!

When can I order??? (Mainly, this was just a test to see if adding pics here would work, but I thought you guys might get a kick out of it anyway!) Happy Jeepin'!

Re: Gotta get me one of these!!!

You know, if it came in a soft top and didn't have those coil springs on there I'd take one too.

Re: Gotta get me one of these!!!

Funny, I see the pictures on Internet Exploder, but not on Netscrape.

I'm on Netscape now & I see 'em. Weird, eh? BTW, saw that thing close-up at the St. Louis Auto Show a year or two ago. Pretty cool, & while I agree about the soft-top, I like the coils.

Re: Git two, they\'s small.!

You have to hand it to Jeep; they realize that doing away with "true" axles is a chintzy way to make a FWD, and they have at last realized that there's money in add-ons. FWD Whse look out!

Pretty cool, but I'll keep my CJ (especially since I just ordered a TeraLo kit, Detroit Locker and LockRite!).

Yeah, but I can't get over that pesky rumor that they are looking into building a 2WD version of the Wrangler. I mean, this is the only vehicle sold in this country that you don't have to ask if it's a 4WD or not when you buy it.

You guys are hard to please... how about this then?

Well, maybe no more leaf springs but with a soft top, Front & Rear Dana 44's, a 275hp V8, and a suspension that lifts/lowers itself 4" at the push of a button, this one could be pretty cool. Maybe I'll get one of these instead...

Maybe one of each? Hey CJDave, this one would be good for you too... It's got a four-speed auto with that Quadra-trac II system for 4wheel hi & low!!

You sure that Jeepster's not a Hot Wheels car? Looks like one.

Re: You gotta B kiddin\'

The new Quadra-Trac II is full of trouble.....and useless in snow and ice. Remember, no viscous cplgs, no cones, no clutch washers, none of that works because THERE'S NO TORQUE IN SNOW. Plus, I don't like FWDs that don't have 'true' front axles. I think I'll stick to the CJ for that "pleasant mechanical presence" and the ZJ for luxury traveling.
