Need Ideas/Help for Putting YJ Gas Tank in CJ

I have dropped in a 94 4.0 into my 85 CJ8. (1) After considering all the options but one, can anyone tell me which tank, parts, items, install parameters I need to do for installing a YJ tank with skid plate into my Scrambler? (2) What fabrication exactly does it take? (3) Will my stock dash mounted fuel gauge work with this setup? (4) What years of YJ would I need to look for in the salvage yards? (5) What is a fair cost for the tank with skid, sender, and pump? Thanks. DuaneD

If you dont have a backseat cut that back part out and tuck the gas tank up there so it sits about stock... then you could use some diamond plate or metal and cover over it and herculine.. I know someone that did this looks pretty trick.

That link pretty well sums it up for you. The newer tanks are too large. I've got a 4.0 in my Scrambler as well with a 33 gallon AeroTank, just have to pop in the pump. If you want a larger tank than 15 gallons, TrailQuest can set you up with one or you may be able to use a factory or aftermarket 20 gallon plastic/poly tank.
