More progress on my jeep

I have most of the suspension done, I just need to get the rear housing straightened before I finish the rear suspension. It turned out a little higher than I want but hopefully it will settle down once I get everything done, as of now the frame is 29" off the ground and the door opening is 43". Hopefully running full width axles will help with stability, I might have to lower the engine and trans if it is too unstable but we will see. my wheel base ended up being 101 and a half inches, That was about all I could get out of a CJ-5 without going too crazy. Front springs are f150 rears and the rear suspension is Avalanche's 1/4 eliptic, if anyone saw my other post I kept the front shackles in front of the spring.

Re: More progress on my jeep

man that's lookin good!! only less than a month ago when I was out there it was a lonly frame. youve done all that and I'm still waiting to do my rear end. I had to get my jeep out of the shop, and the dude had the old rear dissasembled w/ the jeep backed into his shop. No tow truck would touch it. I had to put the rear on a flor jack and put it in 4wd and I drove it out using the floor jack as my rear NEVER UNDERESTEMATE THE POWER OF A JEEPER ( a pissed off one at that) I'm glad your jeep is comin along keep it up
